About the Author Simone Ravicz, Ph.D., M.B.A. is a licensed clinical psychologist. She earned her B.A. in Psychology at Brown University in Rhode Island, her M.B.A. at U.C.L.A., and her Ph.D. at the renowned school for Psychology, United States International University in San Diego, California. In addition, she is certified in Mind-Body Medicine through the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine and in the new Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing technique (EMDR). She also has diplomate status in medical psychology and trauma/PTSD
At present, Dr. Ravicz is an adjunct professor at Saybrook Graduate School in Northern California, and has private practices in Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades, California. She also writes for various journals, and instructs corporate and private groups through a variety of workshops, including stress management, assertiveness, and communications training, mind-body health, balancing work and family, and developing positive stress (prostress) lifestyles. Much of her research and clinical work focuses on female psychological and physical health issues, ranging from children through adults.
Her previous book is High on Stress: A Woman's Guide to Optimizing the Stress in Her Life, New Harbinger Publications, 1998.
